What You'll Do
As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Priority Care Rehab Staffing, you'll help patients find their voice, improve their communication, and eat safely. From helping a stroke survivor regain speech to supporting a child's language development, you'll make profound differences in how people connect with the world around them.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Evaluate patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing abilities
Develop targeted treatment plans addressing communication and/or swallowing disorders
Provide therapy to improve articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, and cognitive-communication skills
Assess swallowing function and provide dysphagia management to ensure safe eating and drinking
Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies when needed
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home practice strategies
Consult with dietitians, physicians, and nursing staff regarding diet modifications and safety precautions
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress reports
What We're Looking For
Required:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current state licensure in NY, NJ, CT, or FL (or eligible for licensure)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or in clinical fellowship year)
Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills across communication and swallowing disorders
Warm, patient, and encouraging communication style
Preferred:
Experience in skilled nursing facilities and/or pediatric home health care
CPR/BLS certification
Training in FEES, MBSS, or other instrumental swallowing assessments
Experience with pediatric language delays, autism spectrum disorders, or feeding disorders (for pediatric positions)
