What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Priority Care Rehab Staffing, you'll work directly with patients to carry out treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists. You're the hands-on support that helps patients achieve their mobility goals, providing encouragement and expertise every step of the way. Your positive attitude and skilled care make rehabilitation feel achievable for every patient you serve.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching, and strengthening activities

  • Apply treatment modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as directed

  • Assist patients with mobility training using walkers, canes, wheelchairs, and other equipment

  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising PT

  • Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey

  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs

  • Document treatment sessions and patient progress accurately

What We're Looking For

Required:
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Current state licensure/certification in NY, NJ, CT, or FL

  • Ability to follow treatment plans and take direction from supervising Physical Therapists

  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine care for patients

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor

Preferred:
  • 6+ months of experience in skilled nursing facilities or healthcare settings

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Comfortable working with geriatric populations or pediatric patients

  • Experience with gait training and therapeutic exercise techniques
