What You'll Do
As an Occupational Therapist with Priority Care Rehab Staffing, you'll empower patients to regain independence in their daily activities—from getting dressed and preparing meals to playing and learning. You'll help people of all ages participate fully in the things that matter most to them, whether that's returning to work, caring for themselves, or simply enjoying time with family.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Assess patients' functional abilities in daily living activities and identify barriers to independence
Design creative, meaningful treatment plans that focus on what matters most to each patient
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, coordination, cognitive abilities, and sensory processing
Adapt environments and recommend assistive devices to maximize independence
Teach patients and caregivers compensatory strategies for daily tasks
Work closely with families, especially in pediatric cases, to integrate therapy into everyday routines
Monitor progress and modify treatment approaches to achieve optimal outcomes
Complete thorough documentation of evaluations, progress, and discharge plans
What We're Looking For
Required:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current state licensure in NY, NJ, CT, or FL (or eligible for licensure)
Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
Ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
Patient, encouraging, and empathetic approach
Preferred:
Experience in skilled nursing facilities and/or pediatric home health settings
CPR/BLS certification
Familiarity with standardized assessment tools
Training in sensory integration, feeding therapy, or developmental interventions (for pediatric positions)
