What You'll Do

As an Occupational Therapist with Priority Care Rehab Staffing, you'll empower patients to regain independence in their daily activities—from getting dressed and preparing meals to playing and learning. You'll help people of all ages participate fully in the things that matter most to them, whether that's returning to work, caring for themselves, or simply enjoying time with family.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' functional abilities in daily living activities and identify barriers to independence

  • Design creative, meaningful treatment plans that focus on what matters most to each patient

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, coordination, cognitive abilities, and sensory processing

  • Adapt environments and recommend assistive devices to maximize independence

  • Teach patients and caregivers compensatory strategies for daily tasks

  • Work closely with families, especially in pediatric cases, to integrate therapy into everyday routines

  • Monitor progress and modify treatment approaches to achieve optimal outcomes

  • Complete thorough documentation of evaluations, progress, and discharge plans

  • Ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations

  • Patient, encouraging, and empathetic approach

Preferred:
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities and/or pediatric home health settings
